The history of Formula 1 has already been written. The legendary category was missing someone to tell it through drawings. I did it, Sauro Torreggiani, an illustrator with a passion for cars and engines. I illustrated the models of all the vehicles designed and entered in at least one race, over 1400 profiles. I also reproduced the variants of each vehicle, for a total of over 4000 drawings of single-seaters. With all this material available, it was natural to design the series dedicated to the history of all the World Drivers’ Championships that would finally show all the cars – not just the World Champion cars – that have made the history of this extraordinary sport. In the first part there are the pages dedicated to the starting grids disputed during the World Drivers’ Championship of that year, faithfully reproduced in the actual configuration of the scheduled races, with the data relating to the arrival orders of each vehicle, the results, the drivers, the teams, the rankings, the pole positions, the retirements and much more. The second part of the file is dedicated to the participating cars. The volumes form the body of the series that illustrates in a complete, detailed and colorful way the evolution of racing motoring.
